Infinite DR

In the recent patch, the DR can be recharged by metal during and after forced cloak. If you activate it, get shot, cloak, and sit atop a level 3 dispenser/ run between ammo boxes, your cloak meter will remain charged up and you won't decloak, keeping you in a 90% damage reduction solid cloak state. I haven't played about with the spy or the DR since the update, and I won't be likely to for a few more days, so can someone confirm if this is what happens?

I'm pretty sure you only take 10% damage on the first hit, once you're in cloak it's regular damage.

Negative. Unless it's changed, you still take 90% less damage whilst cloaked (this was pre buff). I tested it, and set a spy on fire with it activated. He survived 4 axtinguisher hits and ran out of cloak with ~55HP intact.

But, when stayed cloaked for a prolonged amount of time (longer than it can cloak normally) the damage goes back to normal.

But dispensers give back health, correct? So why would it matter if you have damage?

A dispenser can't heal you at the same rate as damage you'd likely be taking from, say, a rocket or sticky or something of that nature.

I always wondered why a cloaked DR Spy survived a ridicolous time in my flamer...

But are you sure the damage reduction works against all weapons? I had the impression I could kill some DR Spies very quickly.

There's a glitch that causes that to happen if someone ELSE kills the spy.  Alternatively: if he laggy in which he'll take full damage then warp and cloak.

Exactly. But using that to get inf. cloak would make it hard for them to notice, so I'd say it's a safe bet you won't get hurt. But I'm a noob, WTF, might be wrong.
