Hey guys, i'm in the process of making my own sniper tutorial vid which i plan on hosting on youtube in the coming weeks. I've already written out my transcript which i will use to narrate my tutorial vid.
I'm looking for some feedback/constructive criticism from you guys. Tell me if you have any suggestions, or if you disagree with something. Anything helps.
It's kinda long, so thanks in advanced to those who take the time to read it.

Sniping, in my opinion, is one of the most rewarding skills
in a first person shooter. Snipers, especially talented ones, are usually loved
by their team and hated by their enemy.
This is because as a sniper, you play an integral part of
your team’s defense. A sniper is able to cripple oncoming assaults by shooting
off medics before they can reach an uber, they can shoot engineers banging away
at their sentries from a distance, and they stop enemy snipers from doing the
same to your team. Finally, they are the eyes and ears for the rest of their
fellow teammates.
I want to start this off by first saying that I am by no
means an expert sniper. I’m not some pro CAL sniper. It’s not even my most
played class; that would be Demoman.
I am, however, very competent in sniping, and I feel as
though I can hold my own against most people I encounter.
This is because I practice a lot, and I play against snipers
who are better than myself. Play with the best, learn from the best. Over time,
I’ve picked up different tips and tricks from some of these amazing snipers,
and I’ve developed them into my own sniping game.
In this video, I will show you some of these tips and
tricks, along with some basic skills that all TF2 snipers should really master.
Some of this stuff will seem like common sense, and you’ll probably know some
of these things already, but there will be some things that maybe you didn’t
know, and hopefully you will be able to apply them into your own style of
sniping.
Accuracy
So, the first thing we’re going to concentrate on is
accuracy. Obviously, as a sniper, you aren’t much use to your team if you’re
not a good shot.
I’m going to show you a couple of helpful exercises or
‘warm-ups’ that are useful in developing your accuracy and speed as a sniper.
The first exercise is one that develops what I consider to
be probably the most important skill for a sniper. This is what I like to call
“dot placement”. In other words, it’s being able to put the sniper dot exactly
where you want it to be consistently.
Here, I’ve sprayed a target on the wall (but you can
do this exercise on any object you wish to focus on). Basically, what we do is
“strafe” (or move side to side) while zooming in periodically trying to get the
dot as close to the center of our target every time.
This may seem like a trivial
task, and I admit it is not the most exciting exercise, but it works well. When
sniping against heavies or other slower moving classes, it probably doesn’t
