I suck...

After watching Soccermom's video, I realized that I'm pretty awful at most classes. I've been onto a few servers where either demomen or soldiers have just destroyed entire teams. I tried soldier, and demo, and I am better than most people, but I often wonder how good players just continuously rack up the points... When I try to use stickies in battle, I end up placing them and blowing them up, and they don't do enough damage to be lethal. I know a few people are just going to tell me to practice a lot, and believe me I will, but if a few pros want to share some tips with a noob, that would be greatly appreciated! BTW, the one class I completely rape at is Sniper. After going from a pro awper in Counter strike source, headshots in TF2 are a snap, and often times I see my name all the way down the recent kills list in the corner of the screen.  My friend and I made a montage of me sniping, and a lot of it is from just three matches. Its not up on Youtube yet, because we are having difficulty actually saving it as a movie on his computer. Whoa... just realized i was rambling! Anyway, demoman tips please! (I read all of the *How to be a better demoman* pages, and they told me things I already knew.

Don't think and be relentless, but at the same time play smart.  You probly need better fightning skills completely rather than just demo and solider.  Honestly, play quake 2 or 3 and learn to duel well that will help more than anything.

If your aim is that good you should be a pretty lethal scout, give it a shot.

Well if your aim is fine most of your problems are most likely caused by either bad positioning, knowing what you can and can't handle, or bad team mates.  Despite how good some people may be, TF2 is a team game and one amazing demo shouldn't be enough to dominate your whole team into oblivion.  Medic support is very important, most of the time when I see one person playing soldier/demo who has signifigantly more points than everyone else, they have a great medic ready to heal them at any given moment.  Heck, I am not that great of a soldier but with a good medic ready to heal me, and a good balanced team, I have racked up some decent scores.

Practice. Find what you are bad and good at and then based on that choose a class. For example. I am horrible at aiming, but I am rather good at strategy and wits, and I like fire. So the 4 classes I most commonly play as are (in order from least played to most) Medic, he rarely has to shoot people and it's easy for me to decide who I need to heal more than others because I am smart strategically. Pyro, don't really need to aim for that, and he lights people on fire. Engy, a machine aims for him, rather accurately too, and it's easy for me to decide where to put the sentry so it will kill as many people as possible without getting destroyed. Spy, he doesn't have to use his revolver too often, and all he is, is strategy.

And practice.

And another thing, there will always be someone better than you. Always. (though I have been making it to the top of the leader boards and the MVP list in game recently )

What TrainRider said => If you have good aim go for Sniper, Scout or Soldier.Sniper can turn the tides of a match, Scout is one of the most important components of a team and the soldier..well.. he's a machine

Its a matter of timing, aim and being mindful of your surroundings. You would not rush a group nor a group of melee attackers without expecting a difficult time.
