I've gone to the dark side...

I had grown bored with the engineering ways... so I set out to find a new class.  One that offered excitement.  One that offered promise.  And, one that offered the opportunity to travel...

It seems that the winner is Pyro.  Still can hold back and play a little defensive action, but can go scurrying out for some fun in the fiery sun.

So, I'm sorry.  Another pyro.  Oh, but it's sooo good.

D:s not more cannon fodder, if you wanted a mix of defense and action then you should play Demoman. Demoman kills way more people than Pyro on the PS3 version anyways. Don't be lured by the dark side, sure its tempting but its not as good as you think >

On a side note I don't think I've ever seen you online but if I do I'd probably be playing Sniper....killing everyone who crosses my path on 2fort

So many people don't understand the true nature of what it means to play pyro.

Few people can play the class the way it's meant to be played.

Hope to run into you Pirahna!  I'm on mostly in the afternoons here in the states (some evenings)... so, I don't hit a lot of the large evening crowd.

ahh I'm usually on in the evening and late night with the GF-TF2 guys. Thats gonna change soon though when school comes DX as for the how to play vids by Daedelus (think I got it right?) there needs to a new vid made for the Pyro for PC version. I go on to that vid every now and then just to hear the song

How to play pyro:


Step 1: Hold W


Step 2: Click and Hold Left Click.


Step 3: Profit.




Scout seems like the most exciting fast paced class, might want to try him out for a while.

pay no attention to the win-bomb spammer.  pyro rocks the socks.

*EDIT*  upon reflection, i would say that pyro is a staunch Engy ally.  also known as an Engly.   no, the Dark Side is the realm of the Spy...

Wouldn't they both fit in that sith catagory? I mean...they both hide in dark corners....waiting and then when the time is right they POUNCE destroying there helpless victims with fire/backstabs (stabby stabby muhahaha).

P.S....I forgot suicide pyros. They belong to the JarJar and Ewok section

Suicide pyro tactics makes sense to slow down an enemy advance so the engies can set up and the heavies can get more ammo.  But you can do that with Demo as well and eliminate more opposing team members.  A suicide pyro is lucky if he gets the medic before becoming fish bait.  maybe he'll crit and get real lucky.  Note I'm talking about the PS3 pyro -- there might be better ambush/suicide tactics with some of the unlockables.

I like newbie pyros -- they get a few easy kills and then all of a sudden they meet a soldier who knows what they're doing.
