Jailbreak mode?

One of my favorite Quake 2 mods was Jailbreak. Has anyone ever thought about doing a Jailbreak style map? The only one I see on FPSbanana is pretty bad. It's basically a team deathmatch except:

-When you die, you spawn in Jail
-Get the entire enemy team in jail and you win.
-You can open the jail cell door for a few seconds by pressing a button outside of the jail cell, thus giving your team a chance to escape.
-In Quake 2, if you had at least 3 people in the jail cell, you could crouch on top of each other and allow one person to climb out through the vents. However, even one person guarding the vents made this a pretty impractical way of escaping.

Or perhaps TF2 would not be a good environment for the JB gametype? Who knows!

Some guy did make the mod for tf2... i forget where.  I wanted to make a map with rules similar to this but it would be rough to do the team collision in the cells and also have a way out.  Also you keep your weapons in the cells so once you're free its kinda like a team-flank.  Anyone guarding would be meat.  I would like to see it attempted, if valve made it a game type i'd support it.

hmm yeah that'd be a pretty fun map for tf2, just needs team collide to be on. maybe that should be the next new map style they introduce, much better than egypt :\

In CS:S there is a really fun mod called Jailbreak which is a little different from this.

All Ts start in Cells, with only knives.
All CTs have weapons, outside cells.

The CTs have to tell the Ts where to go and what to do and such (over mic) and the Ts can either obey, or REBEL!

A T can kill a CT and take its weapons and kill the others. CTs can only kill Ts if they're rebelling or not following orders.

There is allready a map out called Jailbreak,
blue team starts out in a cell and has to capture 1 point at the oposite end of the map (within the time limit).
if they fail it's reds turn in the cell, if they pass they go on to part 2 and the part 3...
if they loose either, it's back to part 1.

Yes but that map is a CP map. I'm talking about something else.

That sounds like a very entertaining idea. I would support anyone pushing valve to make this, or anyone in the community doing so.

Yeh yeh CS:S Jailbreak is so much fun play it alot of the time when im not playing tf2,

If some one makes a  tf2 mod it would be awsome if it was done
properly
