Just got Sid Meier's pirates!

After moderate dissappointment with fallout 3, I tried my first Sid Meier game ever (I know I know I've lived under a rock on Mars) I bought Pirates!

For the first half hour I was immediately dissappointed with my purchase. It was buggy since I bought it on steam, and after tweaking it to work I entered this weird game with no built in explanations.

But then I read the manual (aka the novella attached to this thing) and holy crap is this game vast in scope. I am addicted to it immediately, from its awesome strategy and depth to its whimsical humor. Try it guys it pwns.

I like my games to be straight forward. If it has more than a 3 page manual im lost.

Oh yes, this game is just plain mindless fun, especially when you're cruising around kicking ass with a 150 year old pirate captain with a ridiculously large fleet of ships. Although later on, I cruised around with a Ship-of-the-Line to rape fleets and a Galleon to haul large loads of booty around.

Actually I now fucking HATE this game, not because I don't love it, but because everytime I get captured, thrown in jail and successfully sneak away, my ship, no matter what kind of ship it is, gets stuck PERMANENTLY against the show spamming a "do you want to come ashore" text. everytime I click no, the screen brings that prompt up within 5 seconds and my boat is unmovable. In essence it ends the entire game. WTF?!?!!
