When ubered, and attacking a sent, AIM for engi, sometimes you will be facing the side of the engi, always target him first, this seems like a simple problem and wouldn't make much of a diff, but every hit of his repairs it by what 50%?

Srs, target the engi, it will take about 5 less seconds to kill the sent that way. Just thought you guy should know. If you can't do that kill his dispenser, then sent, if you can. The moral of the story is, uber a soldier.

What happens if there's a second sentry...

Or there are three other people waiting around to frag you after your Soldier uses his four rockets to kill the engy and the sentry...

There's a time and a place to uber a Soldier, Demo, or HWG. It really depends on the distance of the sentry from your uber, and the number of sentries. Sometimes it's better to uber a Heavy to frag the enemy team and have your un-ubered Soldiers come in to kill the Sentries while they're targeting the HWG... And vice versa.

Engies are sometimes hard to get to as a Heavy, the Sentry has monstrous pushback and you can't really do much more than move in front of it and fire (the Engy, if he has any brains, will proceed to cower behind it). Sometimes the spray from Sasha will kill the Engy over time or a few in a lucky crit spasms... But the main objective is to turn those Sentries to scrap giving the rest of your team leeway to bring the pain. If you can shoot him, then for the love of god shoot him. Otherwise, blast away.

When you uber a demo and the put enough stickies on the sentry to kill it (how many does it take, exactly?), it'll take the engineer with it and it won't matter that he's been whacking the thing with his wrench the whole time.

And sometimes you may want to uber a pyro to take out a sentry; if the sentry is around a corner so that you can get close without fighting the pushback, or if the medic can absorb the pushback, an uber pyro can run in, burn up a sentry, engineer, and dispenser, and still have a few seconds of uber to set other enemies on fire.

Def. uber a demoman or a pyro. pyros can constantly hurt multiple targets at once, and can kill an engi with no problem once he gets close, leaving his buildings to fall victim very quickly. if the pyro doesn't have enough time left in uber to finish off the sents, then hopefully you had a coordinated attack going with soldiers or demos to finish off the defenseless sgs.  Demomen just need to lob 3 stickies at the sg to kill each, and will very likely kill the engi in the process. an ubered demoman has 6 stickies to kill 2 isolated sgs, then a third could be killed with 2 stickies (which will also likely kill the engi) and a shot from the grenade launcher. that still leaves 3 shots it can fire at any other high-priority targets.

soldiers have 4 shots. 1-2 for an engie, 1-2 for a sg, then a reload. max of 2 sgs, depending on placement, crits, and reinforcements.

moral of the story- probably not a soldier.

Um, the math is wrong.

Level 3 sgs have 216 health.  Stickies have a damage of 108-160 (not crits).  So it only takes two stickies to kill the sg.

Personally, I now run when I see two stickies by the sg, as I know that I'm screwed if I stick around.  I can try to shoot them away with the shotty, but it sucks at knocking them away.  As an engy, I will wait out an ubered heavy or soldier, but ubered pyros and demos I know I have no chance against if they aren't knocked back quickly.

As a medic, I much prefer to uber the pyro to the demo though, unless the sg is too far away across open ground or we will have other sgs with cross fire coming in to give more knockback at weird angles.

Take these 2 pennies and spend them where you will.

Try Ubering something unusual, like a pyro.

Step outside the box.

It is just a game.

Have some fun.
