I bought it under the assumption it would only have 2 camps playable on versus lol and easily got over 300 hours. (valve never promised me anything )

SDK  community maps generally can't hold a candle to valve's maps.  there's only a few community maps for tf2 i like more than valve's.  plus l4d maps are much more complicated than tf2 maps imo. (not just in hammer, but the design  behind them.)

First major update  to l4d came five months after release.  When did the first TF2 content update come out?  My update history won't load past 2009.  There's no evidence to show it wont see updates besides the release of L4D2.

oh well, better late than nothing.

Actually Valve promised multiple times to give us a full SDK and community mapping tool within weeks of release. It wasn't so bad before the told us about L4D2. The fact that they are making that instead of working on the existing game is why many people are angry. I too got 300+ hours only on those two campaigns, but it was bought under the assumption that we would have major updates and fixes for all the major bugs. They've been decent about it, but it's not complete.

We did get major fixes for all of the major bugs.
