Taco, Wernstrum, Jzzb, and I just finished a run on this custom, and I gotta say it's fantastic. The only bug we had found were a couple of instances where the game wouldn't have ammo/health/weapons in the safe room at the start of a level, other than that it was a solid campiagn. The story begins in an old prison and you make your way towards the harbor via a shipyard, and even a capsized vessel, to the finale which takes place atop a cliffside lighthouse where you attempt to escape in a hot-air balloon. It may have been only the second L4D custom I've played but I think I can safely say its one of the best.

Fail thread title is fail.

The campaign is call Death Abroad. And yes, it is pretty awesome. The parts on the ship are cool, but made me sick to my stomach. The verticallity of the non-ship portions is awesome and makes the hunting rifle and actual reasonable option (which is always a good thing in my book).

Its actually called Death Aboard

Yeah I love this campaign. First map is sorta boring, but by the fourth map it's awesome, the sideways boat...wow.

Haven't played it for ages, there are so many different versions, I can never find the newest one or the one people are playing...

I was suprised to see how well designed this map was. The individual levels feel a bit longer then the ones in the offical campaign, and it's all designed extremely well, especially some, err, unique panic event moments. It's definitely one of my favorite L4D campaigns, even more so than some of the offical maps. I've only played through it in Campaign mode, so I'm looking forward to trying in again in Versus.

It's gotta be the hardest versus map I've ever seen in terms of survivor play due to all the death pulls and constant changing of levels (as in floors). Still, it's a new campaign, so it's full of spots for infected play. Can't wait to play it some more.

I haven't tried it in versus yet, but I can see the external areas being heaven for Hunters.

Maybe you aren't getting weapons/ammon/health because the AI director is a DICK!

I'll admit that on the ship level the first time around; getting shafted of weapons/ammo/health really made the game more realistic in a sense...then Taco got crushed by that falling car and we got fucked.
