All the other l4d threads were started pre-full version, so tell me, after playing The Full Version, what do you think.
I'm seriously thinking of buying this game, tell me what you think about it. Is it fun, does it have longevity, is it worth 50 bucks?
Do tell.

^ Indeed, 37.50 actually. But then you've got 4 . I'm sure I could get a few guys who would want to buy it, but will it be worth it?

If you're splitting it with at least one friend with whom you can play regularly, then yes, it is. I’m splitting the four-pack with a friend and two strangers. It’s gonna’ be great.

Alright since no one who was the game has posted yet.
It's awesome, with awesome sauce on top, and a side of....seriously it's a fun game.
On the other hand, I only play with friends, on vent, where we communicate, for both co-op and versus. I have 0 desire to play this game single player or with random tards. If getting 3-7 of your friends to play with you is going to be a problem I'm not sure I could really recommend it. I'm sure it's still a great game in its own right, but it's so much better with friends that i just don't bother.

It's going to take a while to get good at though, I mean sure we can roll the campaign on advanced, but the impression i get from the Versus scoring method is that the survivors are supposed to win most of the time. In the versus campaigns i've played so far, the survivors (combined from both sides), have won 4 times out of 20 stages of versus I've played. the scoring mode is kind of stupid if the survivors all die because basically if 1 team survives 1 stage, and then fail the other 4, and the other side fails all 5, that's it, the team that survived that one time wins, doesn't matter if the fail team outperformed the other team on the other 4 stages, because the score difference will be incredibly miniscule. You finish one stage you get 800 points. You get 2/3 through and the other team gets 1/3 through a stage, and you win the stage by like 15 points, not gonna catch you up to an 800 point margin anytime soon.

I don't think it's a problem with the scoring though, I think we just suck

Oh God this game is awsome.

I spent 20+ hours on the demo. That's one and a half levels. Of one map. That demo rocked. This game is worth every penny. BUY IT!

OK, time to explain why... It's the fact it changes every time, and it gives you a huge adrenaline rush every so often (i.e. every 5 minutes).
*Running to try to get to the safe room as the only player alive persued by a hoarde.
*The music that signals a tank attack.
*The fear when you know there's a hunter about and you're the only one standing.
*The thrill of headshotting a leaping hunter (this was a complete fluke on my part, I couldn't do it again if I tried).
*Running from a screaming witch hell bent on killing you.
*Vomiting on a bunch of survivors as a hoarde swarms them already.
*Trying to find the survivors as a tank as your rage bar slowly creeps up.

In other words...BUY THE DAMN GAME RIGHT NOW!!!

Nothing beats being part of an Infected team that stops the Survivors at 1% Average Distance Travelled, without using a Tank.

What I'm personally pondering is whether suiciding as a Boomer after you vomit is the better course than sitting there waiting for it to recharge.

I usually sit and wait. There's not much point in infecting people who have already been infected by your vomit. Only time I suicide bomb is when I know for sure that at least 2 people will be caught in the blast.

Same thing here, your recharge only takes a little more time then it takes for the horde to finish. (about like twice as long i think, but before the survivors are done with them you are almost recharged).
I also think that infecting more people does bring more zombies, but not linear. Like infecting 1 person spawns 1 horde. 2 persons 1,5 horde, 3 p 1.75 and 4 p. 2 hordes.

Only time i really suicide is when i feel like it. Or when i missed vomit but am sure i can get three people by doing it. Or when there is a coordinated attack and a horde would be very usefull, even to one person (like one person went back to free someone from a smoker and the other two a kinda far away. I'll suicide on the hero to let the smoker have his way.
