For any pro snipers out there, how do you get your head shot?

Do you let someone fall into the crosshair or do you chase them with the crosshair?

You run out, scope, and click on somebodies head.

By "fall into the crosshair" you mean hide in a corner, point somewhere and when somebody crosses click?
What do yo mean by chase? You mean aim?

In generally, camping will get you less kills then being proactive and going out and killing people. But sometimes having a good angle and waiting can make a big difference.

Durban has a great example, he has a small angle in gpit long b and takes out a medic, was a good shot.

Can't find link, if Durban sees this or somebody knows what I'm talking about, link plz.

well im definitely not a pro but my strategy is to aim at a corner or someplace where the enemy will run out from behind.

i keep the crosshair about head high and a couple of feet/ a meter off of the corner then wait for someone to come out follow them with the crosshair then shoot.

this incorporates both which allows for your reaction time between the player coming in view and you being able to move the crosshair to line up a hit.

this whole process once they come in view should take less than a second and is where "twitch aiming" comes into play. it takes a little while to accurately move the mouse a far enough to adjust for class speed and stuff but keep practicing

1) find suitable spot (look for cover to hide from enemy retaliation, maybe in a corner if spies are around)
2) pick a section that enemies pass through.
3) aim at a wall so you're dot cant be seen
4) when someone comes out, recognize the class (low health classes only need a body shot), aim, fire

waiting for someone to enter your crosshair isn't necessary unless you have a crappy mouse. The key to being a sniper is strategy and PRACTICE.

quite simply, you do both.

tracking a target and getting a headshot is, imo, a lot harder than waiting for the target to run across your xhairs. But they are seperate and both valuable ways to use the sniper rifle.

What's the difference between twitch aiming and "normal" aiming anyway?

Zenith, I'd say you won't be very effective like that. (Or exciting :X)

aiming is following someone

twitching is
He is here now
I think he'll be there then so ill just keep looking here and move rapidly to there and adjust accordingly and quickly.

Tracking is following someone though...

I dunno, I just get the image that if you aren't "twitch" aiming, wtf are you doing? Missing? Then it's not aiming.

I barely ever just leave my crosshairs on the wall, I keep moving, otherwise, you're a sitting duck and gonna get shot.

Fair enough if you've got a good position but its not 4 me
