I just wanted to get some opinions. I personally think the original designs were a lot better than the finals drawn up, they just seemed to match the games tone a lot better. Francis (second to the right in the first image, first in the second image) Has to be my most disliked redesign, the original for him was definitely better. Anybody else have some opinions on this?

yeah i agree. i like the original desgin much better because they just look more realistic and this game is definetly not TF2 so Valve should pay attention to the realism in this game.

(it also looks like the final designs are smoother and not as rough as the originals)

yeah, i've been following this on the Left 4 Dead 411, and i was also disappointed in the changes at first. although now, i'm only really disappointed in Francis's new look. Bill and Zoey haven't changed all that much, and i think i prefer the new Louis - he looks a lot more like an assistant manager for a Best Buy, which is the style they're going for with him. but Francis losing his badass hair and beard? shame. now he doesn't look like a biker so much as a biker-themed stripper for bachelorette parties. i should know. that's how i put myself through college

I like originals a lot better. The black guy looks way more badass in original. Now he looks like a model in a tie.

Well, the originals are good for generic looks, but they don't stand out much from the dark streets or the zombies, so I think the new ones will be better for in game quality. It's not helpful when everybody looks the same.
