One of my biggest problems (Aside from the other three thousand ones I have hurr durr) as a Medic is that I'm far too quiet. Often times because of it, I get killed or lose my buddy.

I'm not one of those people who suffers from the "chewing gum while you walk" syndrome (Where people can't talk and play at the same time), but I do panic a lot. If a Scout is attacking me, I'd much rather scream on my mic like a wild man instead of telling my Soldier someone is attacking us from behind.

But aside from that, I've been trying to compose a list of what major things to say as a Medic: (This is excluding things like "Their Medic is dead!" or "They only have 2 people up, guys." which is a common vocal trait shared by every teammate)

• When you're low on health+need a health pack.

• Ubercharge percents.

• Location, so people will have an easier time finding you for heals.

• When you're dead+respawn time.

Anything else?

Also, should I ever bother telling my teammates which spots are best for a Medic to be in? When attacking the middle on maps like Fastlane, the right-hand building is usually a better spot for a Medic to stand in (Granted, harder to get out of) than the left-hand side building (Which is cramped, tiny, impossible to retreat in if being flanked from behind), or should I just follow wherever my pocket goes?

Your pocket should be following you, not the other way around. If someone is your pocket, it's their responsibility to protect you, which means staying with you, or at least communicating when he wants you two to take the offensive.

The main thing I try to communicate to my teammates is:

1) if I want them to leave a health pack alone, so I can grab it if I need it
2) when I plan to pop uber

The former is usually known and understood ahead of time (tell them ahead of time).  The latter is something the team decides on usually each round before you arrive there.  I'm not a medic expert but this is the way it's been done on all the team's I've played on.

Medic does give you a chance to quarterback some and relay info to your team.  Specifically as a Medic, don't be afraid to call for a retreat if you think things are too hot.  Remember, the other team is specifically trying to kill you whenever possible.  You're going to have to face at least one Scout dedicated to Medic picks, so be situationally  aware.  Call it out.

Here are some things you should learn to yell.

1) SCOUT! SCOUT! SCOUT! SCOUT! SCOUT!
2) Don't leave me!
3) Fall Back!
4) STUPID STUPID STUPID!

However, if you have trouble relaying info over mic.  (I often times have problems doing this.)  The best advice is to just keep things simple.  As Zandar says as a Medic you have a unique opportunity to scan the battlefield and inform your teammates of the threats.  Always try to focus your vision to the horizons of the battle field watching for Snipers and classes trying to flank you.   Watching the horizon now is especially helpful because you can better dodge snipers using the Huntsman.  When you see things that you need to warn you teammates about yell things like:  Sniper Left, Scout Behind.  Just keep things simple.  Those two words tell your teammates all they need to know.
