Do you ever play in #tf2.pickup? DL plays there, at least when I played a lot.

I wish I were experienced enough with more competitive play, but I'll check it out.  If they allow spec'ing I'd definitely be interested because I really enjoyed the demo.

I've watched half of it, and I must say I'm a bit disappointed, since Bloodshire says DL's supposed to be the best spy in the game.
 It sure takes some balls to take on Pandemic as a spy, but he made some decisions I found strange from time to time, like bumrushing a full health soldier with the knife. WTF was that about, going for a facestab? And sometimes when people saw him, he just continued running towards them when it would've been better to cloak and try a different approach. But then, SourceTV-demos are a bit screwed up (or maybe they're correct?) so maybe he didn't see what I saw.

I found some parts odd as well, but playing spy at that level will be radically different from spying in any other situation.  90% of the time he didn't even bother trying to run away once disguise was blown because the slowness of cloak and spy's 100% running speed simply isn't enough to get away from players that react so quickly.  DL had some clever waiting spots, lots of patience at times, and played the spy class when he knew it might be possible to deprive Pandemic of TheFragile's uber.  It really seemed to be an all-or-nothing game on gravelpit most of the time, though.

Did the update break this demo?

No, but I too was kinda saddened. Definitely could have been better.
