My thoughts on portal

I had a lot of fun with this game, so much fun i actually went through and beat it twice.

This game does have a lot of neat things you can do.. but its extremely easy and extremely short.  Every puzzle has a HUGE hint on what to do... nothing requires thinking.

The advanced maps were a little too simple to be called advanced.

Luckily the challenges can actually be a pain.  They dont requre thinking or anything its just sometimes its hard to do them.  It's like basic math.. you know what 2+2 equals and you know how to work the equation but for some reason you just cant get it to write on paper!!!.

So.. after 5 hours of play time.. beat it twice, including advanced maps.. and got gold on more than half the challenges.

Fun but easy.  I can see it having replay value in the future.  I'd like to see some custom maps for it.

Dude, just get really drunk (or high) and attempt it again. Hopefully results will vary, thus allowing a totally new experience.

Even though portal is quite easy, it kicks some serious ass!

Hahaha, easy for me, but I gave it to my girlfriend and she got so frustrated!

Anyways, just wait for custom maps.  I wish some of the absolutely crazy looking maps found in the original trailer made it to final.  I remember at the end of it seeing a string of like 8 continuous portals launching him every which way.  The only thing that came close to that is the long jump in the sentry room of puzzle 19.

Yeah, it is quite easy I'd have to agree. Managed to blast through it in less than 3 hours, and have 4/6 advanced maps beat so far in about an hour. The game in it of itself was somewhat of a letdown for me, but I'm very hopeful for future episodic content for this game or user mods.

However, the actual premise behind the game is brilliant and the humor was just icing on the cake (pardon the pun).
