NATO practice on Sat 2pm Nov 1st (that's GMT) - Arena!

Hello all,

Since many of our EU peeps are playing in the upcoming Arena tourney, we're going to host a little practice this Saturday to work out our 5v5 strategies. Maps will be Arena_Well and Arena_Lumberyard.

As usual, all community members are welcome to attend, even if you're not officially in the Arena tourney. Teams are semi-fixed, but we still need subs and will work to rotate people in and out (we may have people spectate to better observe their team strategy in action). For example, Team Old Fogeys (Butterfly, Kam, me, Cas and Thisbymaster) needs a demoman to sub in, so we're going to use Plushie (if he can make it).

IMPORTANT: If you live in the US, for this weekend only, the UK is only 4 hours ahead, so practice is at 10am EST.

IMPORTANT #2: Can we get a server admin to assist us in getting set up for this? Perhaps Potent African Thunder?

NATO practice. But since so many of the NATO squad are playing in the tourney, we'll focus on practicing on arena maps. So, one side will have whatever members of the .zZ squad show up, and the other side will have Old Fogeys on it. Regular NATO people should come, because they will fill slots and rotate into both sides as we play. This will also set us up to play arena scrims against other clans in the future.

For example, let's say your entire squad shows up: berto, willazord, oz, divine, leadface

I know Team Old Fogey will be missing Thisby and possibly Cas this weekend. So we'd take the subs on our side and play against you. After a few rounds, if there were still extra people, we'd start rotating them in and having 1 person from each squad sit out a round or two to watch their squad via spectator mode. So, I'd sit out and have a sub run medic, while I observed how our strategy is going. Lead Face could sit out and critique whatever strategy you guys have planned for your match.

Yeah, we're now off B.S.T and are now firmly back to G.M.T...  YAY!!  


My parents are planning on picking up my daughter this weekend and are going to keep her for the night.  This means I have Saturday all to myself... WOOOOT!! So if you guys have a space for me I'd love to join you?  I understand that regulars and squigs are first choice (and rightly so) but if there is a chance please steam me, thanks.  

why do I have to sit out.  I vote Berto sits out.

There's no chance that we could get hold of a low-ping server in any near future? Scriming with >100 ping on the TF2F servers is quite limiting, I'm afraid.

Maybe PoE could borrow something?
