NOM NOM

We need NOM NOM back.  The NOM NOM server was exetremely fun, especially BBall and Steamroll.  I suggest letting go of Arena, and putting some of the Arena Maps into Server 2 or Server 1.

Whatever the decision is we definitely need NOM NOM back.  It was so much fun, it was ridiculous.  I almost never see any servers running those maps, and even if I did, it would be like a pub, and not have good players in it.

Discuss the NOM NOM.  Do you want it back?  Why?  What server do you think it should be replacing if it does make it back?

The thing about the NOM NOM server is it lost it's appeal after a few weeks which seems to be the trend with most special servers. It was mearly a place to frag while you waited in que to get on a full real server.

Trust me I enjoyed it just as much as you did but I smoke alot of weed.


We are however, thinking of this as a possibility for one of our server formats if I'm not mistaken.

Actually, thinking about it, it would make more sense for one server to rotate it's settings every 2 weeks or a month or something, because NOM NOM did become less popular over time, as did Highlander, as is Arena, etc.

Don't take away the arena server. I think the Arena server just needs some new maps to make it more exciting. If anything get rid of the crit server since it's used for the same purpose that Razor mentioned the NOM NOM would be. Server 1 is always empty, so I think this would be a good way to shake things up. And besides, putting Arena maps in a normal server would screw everytihng up; it would be a server killer if someone doesn't want to play arena at that moment, which is why it's better that Arena has its own server, so no one has to worry about being forced to switch game modes.

Ever considered rotating the 3rd server? Maybe between NOM NOM, Arena, and a possible 3rd option every fortnight Keeps it fresh, and keep everyone happy.

You guys really don't have to come up with solutions for where we can get a nomnom server.... Thats MY job =)

The main reason we don't have one is because it is midterm exam time for me, and ive spent the last week reading till my eyes bled.
We have two unused servers that you guys clearly dont know about, and I'm gonna use one of those for the nomnom.

Ideally, id like to get it going tonight, but i dunno if that will happen for sure. I do want a nomnom server, and its quite high on the top of my list of things to do.

Furthermore, the nomnom server will be rotated, so maybe for a specific period of time, it will be nomnom, and then maybe highlander, and then maybe classic ctf... that way we can keep it fresh and keep people coming.

I'm claiming credit for that one. ME ME ME ME ME.
