Need some help

Some program named registry helper has appeared on my screen this morning, I don't remember downloading it recently. It supposedly helps your pc run smoothly and scans it for problems, but I don't want it and I can't delete it. 've checked all my files and everything but I can find it's location to delete. Also, whenever I try to close dow a newtab/wndow, it says "intenet explorer has stopped working" then recovers the tab, so I have to keep that wndow open until a restart my pc. I'm pretty sure these tw are related since they both started at the same time. Any help would be really appreciated.

There's another program I just found called pc confidential, I'm guessing they're viruses but can't find them to delete.

Do you have any anti-virus/spyware stuff? If so, you should run it as soon as you can.

EDIT: Try using the control panel to remove pc confidential.

I'm running avg right now. If I could find the programs I could just delete them, i don't think avg is gonna detect them as anything wrong.

It's not in the control panel, I've looked everywhere I could in the last hour and found nothing.
Sorry for all the double posting, I just opened up more of the toolbar at the bottom right (where the little steam icon is located) and found registry helper is there, but there's no way to delete it from there, only close the icon.

Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware pack contains a tool for manually removing undesired programs. I've never used it, but it's an option.

Edit: I managed to fix the problem and google is wrking fine again now thanks for the help jager.
