Haven't posted anything here in awhile.

Anyway, for those of you who will be in attendance at PAX this year, I've been conned into dressing up. (Blame Bruce.) This is the first completed part of the costume. I'm not too happy with the blood but by then I had stopped giving a shit.

well, I considered that, but here are the roadblocks I encountered:

1) That pipe + endcaps is made of PVC plumbing fittings, which I had to do so they'd nest properly. PVC is an opaque plastic. They don't make plumbing fittings in transparent plastic. The items I could kit bash that they do make in transparent plastic are flimsy shit. I want this thing to be able to stand up to a fair bit of abuse, which is why it's plywood as opposed to foam. Glass was out of the question.

and 2) I have to get this thing past american airport customs and immigration. They will already not know what it is, and I don't really want to complicate matters by making it something that not only do they not know what t is, but it has electrical wiring. This is the main reason I didn't bother making a medigun.
