New Build, No video output

So a few weeks ago my friends motherboard died, so I replaced it for him along with the processor. So I put everything back together, with the new mobo and processor, and bootup the computer, but there's no video output. Everything else is getting power, lights are on, fans are spinning, disc drives are working. So I figured, whatever could have killed his mobo may have killed his video card. So I tested my card in his computer, and of course, still no video.
So far I've tried:
A different processor in it
Different RAM channels, basicallyevery channel individually
Tested the PSU and it's fine
Unplugging everything but the necessities and still nothing.
Cleared the CMOS

So what do you guys think? Everything is getting power and running fine, just no output, even the fan on the card is spinning. Did he just get a bad mobo? Or am I overlooking something?

does the new mobo have onboard video? you may need to disable it in the bios first (or simply use it while you get everything set up, then make the non-onboard video the default in windows)

try a different monitor?

No onboard video and I've tried three different monitors

Do you have the 6 pin power connecter connected to the video card?

Thats what I was gonna say.  This may sound crazy but rule #1 of troubleshooting is to check the cables first.  Have you tried a different cable?  Other than that when you redid the motherboard did you reinstall windows?  because you can't just take a HDD from one PC and hook it up to a new machine.  Usually the drivers don't play nice (chipset, audio, video, NIC etc..)  From the sounds of it the PC is at least POSTing right?  then it goes black correct?

No it's not even posting, no video output whatsoever.


But yeah, I've tried three different cables with three different monitors that I know work.
