New Camera Time!!

I'm looking for a new digital camera with a budget of around $200. If you have one thats a bit more, but is far superior, feel free to recommend that too.

Any particular brand you're after? Any model you already know of that you'd like your new camera to be similar to?

Seriously, if you want to expand your abilities as a digital photographer but don't want to spend the money on a DSLR, I would totally suggest a quality super-zoom.

I, personally, have a Panasonic Lumix FZ28.  It's among the best SLR-stepdown cameras on the market, and sure can take one hell of a picture.

I'd get that or the Canon PowerShot SX10 IS.

@ Big Lou: Its for my mom who isnt really into photography. In fact, she sucks at taking any kind of pictures (one of those that leaves the lens cap on if its not automatic) so a super high quality camera is not paramount. Its just for quick vacation pics we'll never look at again.
Also, is the SX110 different? or is that a typo? how bout the FZ28K?

They are completely different cameras.  The SX10 is MUCH better.

FZ28S/K simply states the color.  S = Silver, K = Black.

I have the silver, but wish I had the black.

How bout the SX110? it looks a bit different in the pic but idk if that just the angle.

If it's for your mum who's not so interested in hardcore photography and the budget is $250 then yeah, basic digicam should do the job, like the Casio Exilim EX Z29 which is going for around $139 or the Canon Ixus models (can't find $US prices) but those 2 are generally quite popular models for people who want no nonsense snapping. Also, you might be able to get some cheap Sony Cybershot S or W series cameras...
