Alright, so I haven't gotten a new videogame in a while because I've been a little low on cash. But now I got a little money saved and wanted to get a new game. One problem though: I have no clue what to get.
I haven't gotten a new game for a few months now, so I've probably missed out on quite a few good games. So who wants to help me choose a title?

So far I was looking at the "Red Faction Complete Pack" on steam, Borderlands, Dragon Age: Origins Digital Delux Edition on steam, and Resident Evil 5. Any help for the hopelessly indecisive mind is very appreciated

If you run Vista, forget the "Red Faction complete" pack. RF1 and RF2 won't even install and RF Guerrilla has all kinds of audio bugs. They're fun games, but run like crap on Vista.

If you use WinXP the Red Faction games are a great buy.

Are there certain qualities you're looking for more than others?

I highly doubt Capcom fixed the problems that RE5 had when it first came out on consoles (Crappy co-op AI, crappy inventory, crappy shooting mechanics, etc.) so I wouldn't go for that. Dragon Age I don't know enough about to make any judgment, so I would go for Borderlands. From all the trailers, gameplay footage, etc. I have seen, it looks like what everybody wanted Fallout 3 to be except it's cell shaded..... and had a bagillion weapons.

RF Guerrilla should be good if you use plain old 2.1 stereo sound.

5.1 sound is where the audio mixing problems come in. Volume controls in the options screen have no effect and background sounds are deafeningly loud.
None of the solutions I found online worked for me. After 3 days of trying to fix the audio I gave up. I played through the whole game with one headphone cup loose on my ear (I use 5.1 headphones).

Something I can play for a large amount of time .
As for some other things:
Black Markel- I'm a deadset RE fan, so I'll get the game eventually anyway .
Blind- Meh.
Henchman- oh, alright. I might just get Guerrilla itself for $40 if I decide on that, thanks.

Yeah, without the online support I would really advise NOT getting this game. Don't support a game that does this. If you're buying it solely for the single player aspect, that's your prerogative

Seriously, $10 price hike, no more dedicated server support PLUS day motherfucking one DLC.  No thanks.  Greedy business practices like that should not be supported.
