Well, I just got Company of Heroes, and sadly had to immediately turn the settings to the lowest they would go to make the game playable. I'm not very good with finding compatible graphics cards to motherboards and such, so I would gladly appreciate some help.

Computer Model: Dimension 9100

Graphics Card: ATI Radeon X300

Motherboard: Intel 945P Express

Processor: Intel Pentium 4, 2.8 GHz

I don't know anymore info that might be helpful to you guys, but I will be happy to get whatever info you need.

download a program called cpu-z
run it, click the mainboard tab
tell us what your 'graphics interface' is and then we can help you choose a card.

Scratch my above post, it seems my computer will do fine with either an ATI Radeon X850 or and Nvidia Geforce 6800. I'm not sure however, which is better and/or will let me run Company of Heroes on higher settings without lag.

get a geforce 7900gs, that should defiantly be able to run everything on med at least, unless its a agp card. We really need to know your computer specs or else we won't be able to do anything for you.

No, dont get a 7900. There are much better alternatives.

The Dimension 9100 does have a PCIe port, so your options for a budget card are:
8600GT - $60
8800GT 256mb - $100 - 30 MIR, out of stock atm
HD 3850 - $100 - 20 MIR

All of these cards are capable of running Company of Heroes and TF2 on medium. The 8800GT and the HD 3850 will max them.

If he's using the ATI Radeon X300 he's got PCI-Excpress.

I'm forced to use that card now that my graphics card broke.  Speaking of which, I may just get the 8800 GT.

Cool, thanks a bunch man, I was totally confused about this stuff, if my computer can use an 8800 GT, I guess I'll get that. Again, thank you.
