New Heavy Shout?

Something really weird happened as I was playing TF2 this afternoon. I was standing next to a friendly Heavy as he got a domination. And I swear to god he said- "Ha, ha, ha, just like in the old village!" Has anyone ever heard this before? o_0

No, I've never heard that one.

Although it's plausible. You can probably test it in a controlled environment, have a few buddies make a server and see if you can recreate it.

Otherwise, we can do this ourselves in the Squig private servers, because I would love to hear that in-game.

Isn't there a collection of voice clips somewhere in the tf folder that has all the class responses in them? Maybe we can scour those and see if we can find it.

Yeah there are a shit ton of voice clips for all classes in the TF folder.  There's a bunch that I've never heard during game play, but they do exist.  I guess maybe some are just not activated, or only active during very rare game time events.

You use a voice command while Nomming.

Actually, this is slightly relevant to something I found in hammer. I think Valve might have sneaked in some of the things that are going to be in the scout update in the recent engineer half update. The heavy's new shout may have been one, but while in hammer, I also found a file called something like "forrest train" which was a half done model of a smaller train, and I had never seen it before the update. Methinks that there are going to be forest maps in the scout update.

yeah i just checked. theres a prop_forest/train_engine_01.mdl and a prop_forest/train_tunnel_01.mdl in there.
the engine is a small steam engine car where the cabin in textured but the boiler is all black and unfinished. there are no team skins for this yet as of now so i assume its just a prop. the tunnel is just a 3 sided thin concrete structure. nothing special

EDIT: actually, when you put the train into your map, it is a finished model. and the tunnel is a large cement arch type which fades to black. the train seems of appropriate size for the tunnel

when eating sanvich my heavy always says "LITTLE ITTY BITTY MEN RUNNING FROM SANDVICH!"  or "SANDVICH IS ONLY HAM, WHY ARE YOU SCARED?"(something along those lines)
