Listen up. This is how we are doing recruitment into the Squigs from
here on in. We will be discussing candidates, as a clan, in private.
Every member gets to have their say, which I think is how it should be.
At a point when we feel there is enough support for bringing in the new
member, he or she will be brought in, simple as that. I'll make a post
in their candidate thread saying something along the lines of, welcome
to the Squigs. Throw on the tags.
What will no longer happen, is
discussing in the public candidate threads. The person wishing to join
will make their thread and say what they want to say. At that point, I
will post, saying that I've seen their thread, and they are being
discussed. No candidate thread should have more then 2 posts. If people
can't follow this rule, I will simply lock the threads once I respond
to them, and unlock them when the candidate is accepted or rejected.
If you have not been around the community and active in the community,
on the servers and in vent, please do not apply. Become active, get to
know the members of the Squigs, then apply for the clan. If someone who
is not active or simply too new, I will tell them that in their thread,
and ask them to reapply later.
If someone in the community, not
in the Squigs, feels strongly about an applicant and wants to "vouch"
for them, here's what you do. You send me a steam message, catch me in
the SB or on vent. I'll keep your vouch in mind. Though the vouches
that truly matter are the ones from the members of the clan.
This is a fairly simple process to follow, so I'm asking nicely that everyone does from here on in.
