This is probably stupid and definitely hard to implement, but wouldn't it be cool for the spy to have a device that allows him to tune into enemy voice communication at will. Obviously it would have many issues not in the least its dependence on the other team actually communicating, but I think it could be fun.

But most comp teams use vent (or mumble), so it wouldn't work that well.

Yes.  But listening in could tell you if they found out you were a spy or not.  Who knows.

TF2 has no control over 3rd party programs. So you could not "listen in" to vent.

Then what's the point since usually in random pubs you aren't gonna see any teamwork and/or people communicating through voice chat..
