I never played pyro before arena came out. With no health/water I decided to give pyro a try. Turns out I really love it!

I love the flare/axe combo. I dominated a heavy using on the flaregun and the axetinguisher on pl_dustbowl the other day. Once I figured out how to use the flaregun well, I stared really having fun. Igniting soldiers trying to rj so the die when they fall etc... LOADS of fun.

Any tips for a new pyro fan?

The flare gun's nice and all but on smaller maps, you might consider switching to shotgun.  I've found that the flare's only really useful in small maps if you're low on health and just want to make the enemy retreat too.

Yeah pyro is fun, but all you really need is your flamer.   I couldn't keep playing him, I felt like all I really had to do with him was hold W and left click for 4-5 kills or to even clear a point.
