Ninja Engy: The escape teleporter

So I was playing dustbowl and built a tele entrance, exit, sentry etc as you do, and I found that I'd accidently put the ENTRANCE right next to my sentry gun. An uber pyro come stumbling along and easily burnt my sg to cinders (bane of engys lives), and just as I was about to die I accidently took the tele back to my spawn. Normally I would have died in that situation. This seemed like a stratagy I could actually use so I went on doing that for the rest of he day and I found Id broken all my records for kills, dominations, assists and so on, becuase even when my sg died, I didn't. I suppose the only downside is your team missing one usefull teleport. So I only reccomend doing it with a team that has a few other engys. Mind you, your team mates could use the tele to escape as well. So yeah, sorry for ranting I cant help it :S but I hope this helps someone atleast have a laugh or two.

I will sometimes use this strategy to build an exit in a flanking position so that I can pop up behind somebody bothering my sentry or cover a secondary cap entrance in my sentry's blindspot.

I think it's better to die keeping your sentry alive than running back to spawn and rebuilding everything multiple times. Plus, now your teammates can't use it to get into the battle.

Yeah...and your teleporters arrangement kinda only help yourself (unless everyone in your team is into retreating ><

I'll do this on maps that teleporters arent such a big deal, mainly to flank enemies or on maps with such short cap times and get a sentry up quickly while the enemy caps the first one.

I think the exact opposite, it's faster to just escape and start rebuilding immediatly. Because whatever killed you is probably about to kill your sentry as well.
