No orange box stuff in garrys mod

I bought Garrys Mod 10 today,and am loving it,but only half life 2 characters,props,scenery etc show up and no tf2/portal stuff.
Im assuming i have to 'direct' gmod to where the files are but i have no idea how to do it.
Any help please??

In the main menu you can configure what games you want Gmod to work with. Some games that you gave may no be check so go into that menu (under Gmod Settings) and try checking the boxes that correspond to which games you want to work with in Gmod. It picked up mine automatically but for some games it didn't. (For me it was Day of Defeat Source.) As soon as i checked the box I restarted Gmod and it worked perfectly.

I bought it on my main account ill try klown's suggestion now

nope couldnt find any options at all to choose what games to select.
The only thing like that was a mods/addons option where i could select TF2 NPC's to use,but the option wasnt clickable
