At the request of some of our players, the admins have discussed the removal of the ventrillo password. After a vote, that chuckles lost single handedly, we decided to remove the ventrillo password on a trial basis.
It is our hope and goal that opening vent will encourage new faces to participate in voice chat with us.

I know the idea of an open vent isn't super appealing to all due to threat of spammers and griefers. This is why it is important that community members report offending users to one of the admins listed below ASAP.
Furthermore, I would like to remind squigs that we DO have a private channel that will ALWAYS be passworded.
And as always there will be two lobbys, and the reasoning for this is that one lobby is just far too often too loud.

Anyway, if it doesn't work and the griefing is too much then we will restore the password and we will all get to listen to chuckles say, I told you so, a million times..

honestly never really seems like a closed vent. i mean it seems so easy to get the pw any but ya hopefully theyll be no griefers or harassers of the new policy

Keep in mind, it's not that hard to get the vent password anyway

Most people would give it to someone that asks nicely, IMO

Also, this will make it more convinient to introduce friends to the servers
