Part with the striders and hunters

HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO BEAT THAT PART LET ALONE WITHOUT LOSING A BUILDING.

I have no idea, how the hell that achievment is possible. For 1 the 2nd strider rushes to the sawmill, and destroyes it!

You cant really on higher difficults, the striders will kill the buildings, just make sure you've always got a striderbuster with ya.

On Easy I can do it, you just have to play it once first to know the scripting when the Striders use their mega-ray-of-death and kill them before it happens.

I'm saying I can't do this period, screw the achievement, I'm steadily losing health between encounters I'm low/out of ammo on weapons that can kill hunters in a reasonable timeframe and they knock off any bombs soon as I attach them.

There are healthpacks in all the buildings.
Put a bomb on the back of your car, run over the hunters, throw the bomb at striders, shoot it and presto.
Repeat.

Without losing a building? Man, that was probably the most frustrating level I ever planned... I guess I should have used the car running over the hunters. Wow those hunters were extremely annoying. Glad I beat it eventually.

  Yeah that was the only part of ep2 that got me lathered. I spent a few hrs trying to obtain the achievement on normal difficulty before i said Pffff to this. Played it again recently and just let all the buildings go down but the last two, much less stressful. Mowing down the hunters with the car is mandatory for completing this part.
  That and I got all but 7 of those larva, man that pi**ed me off! and where the heck is the gnome to put in the rocket? I couldn't find it when i played it again. Is it in the main rocket control room (where u push button to launch)?

Yep, hit the hunters with the car, use your magnum and your secondary fire on the pulse rifle to take out the rest. Not saying it's easy, but you just have to run around like a maniac.

What I do is load up at least 3 bombs at each building before starting the sequence.  That way, I'm always ready for striders as they come to each building.  Also, I noticed the hunters are good at avoiding your car, so I use the tree trunks scattered around the level to destroy them in two hits.

First off, the gnome is in one of the little houses you go into with Alex in the begining.  Its under a table (its the hosue where u have to plug the thing in to get her to talk to magnussin and pals)
It's really funny, she looks at it strangely.
 
Thats pretty smart Lou.  Never thought of just stacking them.  What i did is just waited till i had the last 2 building, ran over some hunters, and just popped the striders when the alarm sounded.  I did get 2 really lucky hits though, which i think helped me win.
Did it my first try with 2 deaths on normal.
