So, two things:

First, can anyone give me a points breakdown for medic (doing what gets you how many points?)

Second,
What's your not farming or being cheap points record as medic.  Mine is 49, I got it on Dustbowl, offense, last cap, while staying on the front lines the whole time.

Well, you get 0.5 for an assist, 1 for a kill, 1 for an uber, and 1 for healing 600 (not sure) the rest is the same as all the other classes.

It's not hard to get over 100 points if you play though the whole game and your team isn't getting royally owned.  My personal best for points in a single life is 25.  Let me put it this way, if your point/death ratio is at 1:1 or below, you are playing it wrong, 2 is ok, 3 to 4 is fairly good (you are getting the idea of it) and 5 or above is pretty damn good in my opinion.

consider yourself lucky if you have a 1:1 k/d ratio, because quite frankly medic should not kill in the first place. the true healers are the ones that gets rewarded.

For a Medic, do not use the Kill : Death ratio to get an evaluation of your skills (Medics are the most inept class at killing)  Instead, use Kill + Assists : Deaths.

If you cannot maintain a 1:1 ratio, you're a poor Medic.
1:1 is Average.
2:1 is Good.
3:1 is Great.
4:1 is Exceptional.
5:1 or better is Outstanding.

Invulns per death is an extremely effective way to measure how efficient you are being as well.

1 invuln per death is stanard, 2+ is expectional. Of course it's very map/situation dependent but if you see yourself getting less 1 invuln every 2 deaths for example, you better check yourself and stop getting yourself killed.

You know what I mean. Don't get caught up in k/d/a too much, if you can pull off something exceptional like 2 ubers per life WHILE helping your team the results will come.

Concentrate on keeping yourself alive, playing smart, and getting your ubercharge. Make k/d/a an afterthought. A good k/d/a can't be helped sometimes, but you playing smart is always in your control.

The simple fact that you survived long enough to deliver 2 ubers means either A) you're a superb Medic who can do the dance and help the team, or B) you hide from danger all the time and are never helpful to the team.

If you're the second person, well, you really shouldn't be measuring your performance by a high standard when you're not even meeting a basic one.

As SmerBuick noted, pulling off 0 ubers simply means you died too quick.  1 is a standard, meaning you lived for about 2 minutes, and pulled it off.  2 or more means you either had a good patient or you successfully retreated and built up another - everyone has their own method to rate you effectiveness.

You can't bash yourself if your uber is wasted (ie, by a dumb patient or you use it to protect yourself) As I say, "Use it or lose it".  You either survive the encounter and not die, or you die with a "dropped" uber, which is a waste.

The K+A : D method works well for me because a Medic primarily gets Assists.  For example, one of my best rounds ever was:

Assists : 88
Kills : 6
Deaths : 7

This is 88 + 6 = 94 : 7, which is a 13:1 ratio (which I never was able to do again, my best afterwards being 8:1 and 7:1)

This means that I was actively HEALING players while they were benefiting from me by getting kills.  I also minimized my deaths.  As we've noted, the Medics ability to kill isn't as easy as assisting. (I Assisted in killing about 14 times each time I killed someone on my own)
