Pokemon Platinum

it's out in Japan (when the fuck did that happen?) but not in the US untill 09. it's the 3rd generation of Diamond /Pearl, but unlike Yellow, Crystal, and Emerald, it really adds content. I'm still looking for details (thats what this forum is for) but it looks pretty cool. some new levels, and minigames. the biggest thing I want is live online battles. does anyone know if that is availible?

You can live online battle now as long as you exchange friend codes. There are websites out there dedicated to HUGEEE tournies every day.

Diamond was one of the best purchases I've made in a long time and I cannot wait for this.

What do you mean? Like as you go through the game have it be real people instead of AI?

That would be a ridiculous step up, to be honest Pokemon games are perfect and the only real "critic complaints" of D/P was that they didn't change enough.

IMO it doesn't need to be changed, but I wouldn't complain if they went over the top with online battling.

no, no. in Diamond and Pearl, the "random online battles" had you "submit" your Pokemon, which were then controlled by a Com. I want the Online Tower thing to actually have me compete against random players, live.

Well, that wouldn't be much of a step up. I mean the wi-fi technology is taken advantage of with the "friend code" battles so hopefully we can see more in regards to random battles.

That would make it like Pokemon Netbattles, which is incredibly fun on its own.
