Possible Blutslauger uprgrade?!

I though it would be sweet if you could buff yourself with the Blut. Like if you have full health and you know you're about to get lit on fire etc you could unload a clip and still get +3 health for every hit, but it wouldn't stop at 150 HP it would let you go all the way up to 225 like you're being buffed by another medic. Just an idea I thought of last night, could be good or bad. Your thoughts?

This would not work with the mechanics of the game since other classes that can shoot themselves with one of their weapons (Soldier, Demo, and Engie) take damage from said weapon, thus the medic should take damage from the vamp if he could theoretically shoot himself, thus negating the health gains.

Actually if medics were ever allowed to heal themselves in any way, I'd probably stop playing TF2.

Not actually shoot yourself, but shoot other people and be able to buff yourself over 150.

nah, teh blutsauger is already pretty powerful as it is
i was thinking they were going to do a 10- ammo reduction to balance of the +3 health...but nooo valve >_>

nobody tell him what the blutsauger does...shhhh

As for upgrading the blutsauger, hell no. It's already a pain for low health classes, it'll make pyros even more worthless and it might encourage more medics to fight then heal.

Yeah you're totally right fan, I know if I had this I would most likely ditch someone I'm healing sooner to buff myself for my own advantage.  I don't think it would work with the balance of the game, at least right now, I just thought it would be cool.
btw Static to remind you, cos I know you know:
Blutslauger heals 3 HP every hit, Medic regenerates HP as well

you know, based on some of the earlier playtesting videos I've seen the blut *did* originally come with that ability. I'm sure if it had been balanced valve would've left it in.
