Hello,

I've experienced some problems with sniping on maps with changing maps like Dustbowl and Goldrush.

Like the map on Dustbowl (See image), when you have capped the first CP, and then continues to the two "doors" that you need to go through to enter the other side, this will be a pretty tough fight between blu and red, and both "doors" will be blocked by incoming pipes and rockets, and there won't really be any room left to snipe.. So yeah, i really don't know how to act then, yes, i could change into another class, but i really want to play as a sniper the whole round out. The problems come again on Goldrush, when there's few ways to go, and all is blocked by enemies, and you can't see because you really need to stand close to see the enemies, but that will be a problem because it's pretty much full of pipes and rockets and everything ._.

Summary: I have tough time in small places with few ways to go and all ways is blocked by enemies that you can't see with sniper if you don't really go close.

Any tips?

On defense, this isn't true but i am guessingthat you are complaining about attacking.  You shouldn't play the same class all the time, it makes the game boring.  You should change it up to what your team needs.

It looks like you're referring to the second portion on the second cap and that's a very tough section to snipe period (against a team that has any clue).  Your best bet to having a chance is the far left tunnel and the right door of the middle tunnel (not the far right tunnel that engy's set up in).  You don't necessarily want to be standing in the doorway either, but away from it at an angle that you can still see out and still have an escape route to use if needed.  The main thing is that you can't expect to stay in any tunnel spot for too long b/c you will be moved one way or another, so use hit and run tactics.  If the red team is really aggressive you can stay back around the first cap spot and snipe them as they exit the tunnels as well.

I think Milky's right, but I usually don't snipe for that part of the map and go demoman or heavy as I don't think there are many good places for sniping there*

*then again i don't play as sniper much so I would'nt know

I dont ever snipe on the first push of the second stage, even though I would like to play sniper 100% of the time.  The spamfest can be too great to even get out far enough to see anything.  I will go medic, build and uber for my team, then switch to sniper if i die.  Having a Third uber in the initial push can be really good to get your guys in position, if nothing else.

Honestly, you cant do much for your team in the beginning of this stage... unless your against a very nubbish team who decides to let you have some ground to play with.   If you are really committed to snipe on that stage in the beginning you better have a reliable team that can push the defense back far enough for you to poke your head out.  The left tunnel is an option, but like i said, if theres a good defense, they wont let you have an inch of room (which is all it takes for a good sniper to pick apart a team).

Onto the second cap point.  A frequent place for sniping is along the bottom, center -  left doorway.  From here you can see the cap point, and retreat if you need to.  Also, if you hide out behind the rock while the defense is distracted by your teams attack from the right tunnel, you can pick off people from that side if you are good at medium range.  Flanking is key for the special op classes, but honestly, once again, this stuff is better for more ubers especially against a heavily entrenched defense...so do your team a favor and play medic if you are bombarded everywhere you go to snipe.

It's all about staying mobile - if they are in that close to your cap, its game over regardless...but sniping down the center/over at the corner as well as picking the HW turning the corner of the walkway before the uber goes off(doesn't always work but a lot of the time it does) helps tons. Milky has a good idea with the tunnel(i'm often there), but sometimes you just get to swarmed and pushed back.
