Pyro a... Female?

So... I saw this being discussed in another forum, and figured I should bring the debate here (I didn't notice it already being here).


What do you think the chances are that the Pyro is actually a female underneath the thick rubber suit and gas mask?

Hmm, I thought this would be a more controversial topic.

Have you just accepted that the muffled figure beneath the rubber is a male?, or do you think that they could have been pulling a fast one on us this whole time?

I guess we'll just have to wait until we see the "Meet the Pyro" video to be 100% certain.... but doesn't the possibility blow anyone's mind?

It's already been discussed here.  Boring topic.  It's a game, I don't care if the Pyro is a series of gelatinous sacks powered by thousands of mice in some sort of radiated borg collective.

In that screenshot, is that a purse with a flower on it?
This is quite exciting actually - it would be cool if in the video the Pyro takes the mask off and long silky blonde hair comes falling down...

It could be the next Samus/Metroid shock of gaming! lol.

I have to disagree w/you poonannie. if the pyro was a series of gelatinous sacks powered by thousands of mice i would play the pyro everytime i loaded up the game. that would be awesome. heh.

I don't seriously believe the Pyro is female, but it's a really funny topic.  I love how he's purposely mysterious...it leads to a lot of silly theories.

i think that is the announcers purse, and she uses her boyfriends (pyro) locker to put it down
