Pyros the Ultimate engi buddy???

I've noticed an increasing trend where all pyros do are stick around engi encampments the whole game.  And I gotta say, its pretty damn effective.  Think about it: pyros are excellent against spies, the engi encampment's biggest threat.  Thanks to the pyro compression blast SGs are no longer vulnerable to long range rockets, indirect demo pipe bombs or stickies.  A good pyro can even save his engis from a potential uber by ranging out a bit from the SG camp and setting enemy medics  on fire, causing them to uber early.  Or pyro's could use the compression blast (in addition to the turret fire) to push back the uber'd demo/pyro/soldier to make their uber ineffective.  In fact, I think the pyro is great against all other major threats to a engi camp.  I'm sensing a rise in this combo in the future....

Nice synopsis. I've noticed this too, and I would love to see this in more competitive play.

I like playing demoman and hang by buildings. Place your stickies all around them and when you here the engie say, "spys sappin mah sentry", kaaaaabooom! Works every time.

Most pyros won't do this because they won't get teh mad pointz.

If this is true, then we spies are gonna need to learn some damn efficent ways to kill the pyros.  Hopefully the tools to do this will come with the spy update.

That's true, but they always look all around themselves, so they can flame anybody coming at them from behind (that's what she said)
