I've taken a liking to the sniper and am decent. I've always been one to just shoot shoot shoot. Taking shooting everywhere I can, not really charging, and only going for headshots when I have the time.

I was wondering, is it better to go for charged/headshots, or just quick shots and the frequent headshot?

Sorry if that made no sense.

Frequent shot, your team can help you kill someone who's low on health.

I don't really know, I have asked this question a few times before on some servers and people mostly say quantity.

I'm by no means an expert, but as GMan said, go for the quick shot.  Almost always.

Always go for the headshot.

Only charge up on overhealed Heavies and such when the unique opportunity arises.

If you headshot an overhealed Soldier, he's very easy to kill with a follow up shot, or from your teammates.

Most useful post ever.

When I'm sniping I usually charge about 10% of the time and quick shot about 90% of the time. Most of time when I quick shot I try to get a HS but often just got a body shot. I think quick shotting is more useful to the time. Not only does it do more damage spread over time (assuming you hit your target a fair amount of time) but it's more helpful to your team. People on the other team will know there's a sniper covering the area, thus allowing you push opponents into other areas.

Of course I'm totally a noob sniper so what I just said probably is wrong...

For most cases, I would say quantity if you can be consistent.  Even if you can't kill them, you at least have a good chance of either making them retreat or helping a teammate finish them.  Plus, you're less vulnerable.  You can kill a buffed heavy with quick headshots, you just have to keep hitting him or else the medic will stop the kill that a charge would have gotten in one hit.  You're vulnerable charging in most cases, so the quick shots can be a greater help.  You might not get as many points yourself, but it helps the team more.  Most of it's situational though.

I go for headshots. Someone dead is better than someone wounded.
