Random Lag Spikes

So I got a new computer and it's freaking awesome. It plays everything 100x better than my laptop. Just one problem though. I booted up TF2, everything was going better than I could have imagined, then all of a sudden I everything stops moving and about 2 seconds later I'm running into a wall. This happens about every 1 or 2 minutes. I am pretty sure it is not a problem of being able to run it or not because my computer can run HL2 on pretty much highest settings and I have no problems. This is not a problem with the router because my laptop never had that problem. Here is the wireless card I am using. My drivers are all up to date.

I think the new computer is amazing in every way and I think it has also improved my performance in game because I don't have to wait half a second for my mouse to respond anymore. It's just that this problem is very annoying and has led to my death in many occasions. I have not tested for this in any other games, though I will do so soon.

What is the problem here?

I play on wireless , did you use wireless when you were on your laptop? has anything else changed in your network set up apart from your computer?

Try playing with net_graph set to 3 or 4 and see what the graph does when you start to lag.

Yes my laptop was on wireless as well, it did not have any problems. Nothing else has changed except for my computer.

And what's the difference between net_graph 3 and net_graph 4?

net_graph 4 has some extra info, i normally only use 3

net_graph 4 is for all the nerds. 3 should give you the information you need.
