The stat window that comes up when your game is loading... Those stats are only referencing ranked play, is that correct? I was playing a lot of ranked early on and when I starting playing with Fail Truck we always play in the friendlies so those stats are essentially "frozen".

I've gone back in the last few days to yardstick my progress from when I was young TF2 pup but after a couple of matches played they don't seem to be updating. I assume you must remain the same class for the duration of the match for any stats to register. I tend to roll with the needs of the team a lot of time and may have switched briefly and not noticed but I can't remember doing it.

Anyone know if there are problems with the stats function?

I haven't had any problems with stat tracking and i never play ranked and often switch my class mid game your stats may seem frozen just because they are 'best performances' other then the time you have spent with each class.Your points with the class are the most points you got in one life not a cumulative number. I wish i could reset mine sometimes because according to that window my best class is a demoman. I suck at demo man but spent one really good life busting the crap out of a poorly planned three engie camp for three captures in a row while playing against some newbs and now my demoman point score is forever locked at 20, worlds higher then everything else i've managed to do so far.....i'll get you there someday medic/scout/pyro......someday.

I want to reset my stats aswell. I spend hours knee deep in sentry gun kills hoping to beat my best score of 19. My brother plays soldier for 10 minutes.And gets 20 points. Along with more sentry gun kills then I've ever got. Needless to say he's never playing my xbox again.

oh that story does have a bright side! i went back to good ol' engie the next day and managed to get 29 points, albeit in a ridiculously LONG,agonizing, almost-pissed-myself-due-to-drinking-too-much-pepsi game of 2fort.

Similary with me, I've had problems with the stats freezing. Another glitch I found out: If you sign into a profile that does not have a Gold membership and try to go online, and sign into a Gold account when it asks you if you want to switch into one, you'll be raising the stats for the account that doesn't have Gold, and unlocking Achievements for that profile (it doesn't appear under your gaming history or add to Gamerscore, but it does appear when you look up the Achievements in-game).

This is what I was missing, I didn't know what those points were based on, so yeah, they weren't stuck. A buddy clued me in to the one life thing and I upped my spy best to 48. Felt so good to see it finally move. Now if I could just get my heavy above something like 6, stupid, slow bastard - *sigh*.
