I've only gotten better (attitude and gaming ability) since then. Also, I personally think we need to bring back Public Vouches, instead of the secretiveness of the squig forum.

What's still wrong? I need to know what to improve on. I don't ragequit pugs anymore. I don't even go to pugs anymore. I would like to know what I am doing wrong.

Ok. I'm done my semi-rant. Please respond. Oh, and this is not an app thread, this a comment on the app system and its flaws, so you shold be allowed to respond.

I agree that voting should be public, so people don't constantly make up stuff, and say false things. Also think you should be a squig. Only person who has stuck it out this long, and I don't see why you haven't made it yet.

Public Voting FTW

The new, private voting system is much, much better. Yes, you don't get to see who vouches for you, or what they say, but it gives us a little more freedom when it comes to voicing our opinions. Before, if there was someone i thought didn't deserve squigs, for a reason other than not knowing him enough, then i found it hard to say so. They'd get pissed off, and try to defend themselves, which, in turn, makes them look bad and turns the app thread into drama. Now, about you becoming a squig, well, you already know my answer .

I much prefer the private voting system. Even though you cannot see what is said, I believe TF2F is an honest community which would not lie about its people. At least, that's what I think should be and what I have seen in the private forums. Personally, I'd have difficulty citing overtly flaws of the people I know as it may not be that gentle, so the private voting is much better for me.

This will probably hurt your chances a lot. There have been plenty of people who have taken just as long as you have to be accepted, and they waited patiently, not started a thread asking about it. Most of them now wear tags.

First off, just because our recruitment discussions are private doesn't mean "people make up stuff". That's just silly. We have private discussion so that the members of the actual clan have more control in who gets in rather than random people saying vouch and speeding up the proccess. The public vouch system is not coming back so just drop that idea after this post. The private system allows our members to be 100% honest about applicants, it's worked very well so far and it is the way we would like to do things and IMO noone outside the clan has any say in how we recruit or the process.

Second, NOONE is entitled to Squigs based on length or number of applications and improving is no garuantee of tags. In fact, noone is garunteed tags or has a given right to them, that includes current members.

Just wanted to clear those points up.

I hate to say this, but the fact that you abandoned your own thread about the TF2F awards without notifying anyone, and without asking for any help...that probably sealed the deal dude. This thread will be merely icing on the cake. There are plenty of folks who hang around sans tags that are still considered valued members of the community.
