Recommend me PS3 Games

I'm getting a PS3 for Christmas, but I have no idea what games are good for the PS3.  Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Oblivion Game of the Year Edition.

Orange box... obviously.

Uncharted was pretty good.

Assassin's creed was good, it got old kind of fast, though.

I haven't played it yet, but Little Big Planet is supposed to be really fun.

It depends on what tyoe of games you like, Puzzles, RPGs, Fighting games, etc.

Uncharted drakes fortune

Game of the year edition has shivering isles and knights of the nine, though. I think the normal ps3 version comes with knights of the nine, but you'll have to get shivering isles seperately. I guess it's a choice between glitches or paying more money :|

I don't actually OWN a PS3, but on what I've played/heard about, the games I would get for it would be:

MGS4
Resistance (either, go for 2 if possible, 1 if you want backstory for some reason)
Pure (Cause I played the demo and I <3 it)
LittleBigPlanet
MotorStorm 2
Anything else you feel you should get.

I honestly didn't expect to come up with that many games

EDIT: BTW, Darthkittyus, the game is exactly the same, but as you said, GOTY gets more content in comparison. Only problem is, content does not fix glitches. As Severyo said, get the PC version if you can handle it. The amount of mods is staggering, and there are many community patches for it. AND IT'S ALL FREE.

Wow, thanks for all the responses already!  I like most stuff, but not sports games, fighting games, or (for the most part) RPGs.  There have been a few RPGs, though, that I have liked.
