Regarding Mid-Airs

When a enemy is in the sky but is closer than usual, and you get ready to shoot him out of the air, do you aim the reticule dead center at his body? Leading the shot and everything else has been calculated, just the path of the rocket. When I shoot, the rocket completely passes the opponents left side.
I've been missing these the last few days and I wanted to get to the bottom of mid-airs, thanks.

Rockets and nades come off of your right side. This is really annoying because you always have to aim more left than you think you should.  It's because everyone is right handed but it does help when shooting around a corner.  However, this seems to be the opposite of your problem. 

Mabye your over-compensating? Then again, It might be different on the 360 version.

My sensitivity is high enough to easily rocket jump, and the 360 has no auto-aim. Does aiming dead center at the enemy get the job done most of the time?

On PC, you have to aim left. Put them where you view model's rocket launcher is.

A good idea is also to aim a bit lower, try to aim at their feet (before I did this I often shot my rockets too high).  
If you always shoot too much to the left, try aiming or the enemies right side.

If the enemy is flying very close one can try to hit him directly.
By the way, I can recommend the map tr_rocket_jumping2 (by Frozenshift) or tr_airshotv0(by Gman) for airshot training.
On the first of these you have 16 jumping bots which you can juggle. Shoot them at their feet so they fly up and then try to airshot them.
On the second map there are a lot of bot flying up from a hole in some sort of shooting range.

Your ingame settings could also be important here. Some other mouse sensitivity could be more natural for you and make you start hit you airshot more often.
Also, what cl_interp value do you use ? A very low value here should be preferable. I use 0. This shortens the delay from the time when you press your mouse button to the time the rocket flies away.

Thanks for the tips, the thing is, I'm on the 360. I know that PC players have an expectation of epic fail when it comes to the 360, but I'm one of the few Soldiers that can even comprehend the opportunity of a mid-air shot. Again, thanks for the tips, they helped considerably.

It really depends on how close you mean... If they're directly in front of you just put it so the barrel of your Launcher is right on their body. If they're a ways out compensate for it slightly. I've been trying to airshot more, unfortunately it's hard to get practice with all the games on the 360 version, what with everyone seemingly looking for crit rockets to walk into.

No one ever told me that rockets came off to the side, they seem to hit near dead center for me. I seem to do well enough, I guess I'll have to wait till I get lower ping, and try it then.

The come out to the right of your screen, which is why you can shoot rockets through walls at corners or such, and then quickly go to the centre of the crosshairs and stay there, so if you are in close range you just have to get used to shooting out further to the left.
