Just wanted to post the tier list for SSBB..

Bowser being higher than Peach is pretty laughable. Not a bad list overall, but it's way too early in Brawl's lifetime to act like this is even close to set in stone.

Just in advance, I might as well copy-paste my sentiments from the other thread:

Tiers are what you make of them, although people tend to forget that tier lists are generally created for a level of play higher than what most play at. Ike's a good example of this. At a novice's level, Ike appears to be a top level character, but on the official list, he's at the bottom of middle tier, as Ike's strengths are less problematic to an advanced player, and his weaknesses are easily exploitable.

Unless you're planning to get into competitive play, you shouldn't pay any attention to tiers. And even then, it's generally more important to first find a character that suits you personally. Meta Knight (My former main) might be the #1 character on the tier list, but I personally do better with Lucario because, well, he's just the character for me.

I know, I'm just posting this for anybody that is interested in it, I do not pay much attention to tiers, and my  main (fox) is number 19, Its just for anyone that wants to see what their main ranks in competitive play

I personally like playing as a middle tier character. Makes me feel just a bit better when I beat someone with my Olimar.

For the record, tiers are usually based mostly on tournament data. There are a lot of other things that are accounted for, but I'm not going to go into detail here. Those that care enough to know why the tiers are set up as so know why already.

The data, however, does usually reflect who is a better character, but individual skill is still what makes a winner. Point being, if you want to pick up a higher tier character since they're claimed to be better, go right ahead and join the countless others that have the same train of thought, or you could stick to your guns, learn the character you really like to play, and become a better player to dethrone those who play the high tiers.

I liked my character ROB from the start, didn't look at a tier list and pick one of the top guys. And yeah skill level is the biggest factor.

This is probably my own bias coming into account, but I would imagine Sonic is a little higher than bottom 5; although I do accept that he's destined to be a low tier fighter b/c of terrible priority overall and his kill moves are pretty slow. My other mains: I knew Snake was going to be 1st or 2nd overall, but I do see most players struggle with how fundamentally different his playstyle is compared to a normal character. Kirby and Luigi I'm happy with; middle of the pack that offer cool gametypes and can remain competitive, but not necessarily dominant.

I don't know why DK is so high but yeah I'm fine with it.
