Save the arena server.

Ever since the implementation of custom maps into the arena rotation, the daily population for the arena server is now almost always 0/16 throughout the day.  What can fix this?

Taking out the custom maps.  Or, putting different custom maps than the ones that are in there currently.

I've noticed as of lately that the server is often empty.  I'm sure custom maps has SOME responsibility to do with lowER numbers, but it's a good server when everyone is in there.  Definitely not a configuration boo-boo, cause I see the server and it's in my FAVES.  If it wasn't a server I fave'd, and you run a config that some people don't like (be it a setting or map), then people associate with the server name that it's not a server they want to play on.

That could probably be counter-acted by finding a good median, and once more people get back onto the server, a popular server often will attract more people.

Is arena_dustbowl still on there? That map is ass. And do we have arena_science yet?

Wow, arena_science is an awesome idea. The center point of that map is great.

Thanks so much skybuster, i was actually wondering this myself, no one wnats to play anymore, they just want to play their lame, more than oen respawn maps. Ugh, MORE THAN ONE RESPAWN PER ROUND IS FOR WIMPS! But seriously, i will definetly be there is more than 6 people are in. The other day was just sad, i entered, and it was a 1 vs 1 spy duel....come on -_-

I'll be making arena wickedx as soon as i get the main map publically released.

I haven't even played Arena yet :|

Maybe it's just due to the fact that not many people like arena. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to me that it wasn't THAT popular. I don't see very man arena servers nowadays.

Fuck all that, Arena is my favorite mode now whenever I want to play seriously. I think the problem is that it isn't designed for "fun" gameplay, and requires a lot more dedication and concentration to enjoy it. Server 3 was my most played on server for awhile, and I kicked myself for missing the Arena PUG Kankle set up awhile back. I'd do anything to make sure that Server 3 remains an active Arena server. I wish more people would see how much fun this mode is.

i dont enjoy arena but ill play it in  tf2f server but i have noticed it is usually empty
