Scout Disguise

I desperately want to know more about thwe scout as a disguise, and I havent found any threads with the info I want, so here goes:

Does the scout disguise actually increase your speed?
If so, by how much?
Is it enough to be as fast/faster than medics?

You get no speed boost from a scout, and also your spy hitbox stays the same. You look to an enemy like a scout running at a regular pace (rather than a true scout's pace)

FYI Scout is the fastest class (133%), followed by medic (107%).

If you jump, it's harder to tell the speed difference to the enemy, since the Scout has a distinct jumping animation. In fact, you should jump around no matter what class you are disguised as. It makes things look more convincing.

Not that you should be trying to fool anymore for more than a split second anyway. The only real reason you should Disguise is to avoid being shot by Sentries.

He's a Spy, not a Doppleganger.

It isn't smart to disguise as a scout if you want it just for the speed boost. You only get the maximum spy speed, not the scout's. If you want speed without sacrificing your disguise: be a pyro or demoman.

The only good time to disguise as scout is when there are a bunch of enemies in one spot; they won't notice you

I thought your speed increases a little bit. If you disguise yourself as the medic I know you go a little bit faster (that's why I'm always one when I run away with my stealth on).

No, your speed as a spy is the same when you are disguised as a scout.

Well actually, no disguise increases the spy's speed.  And when cloaked, you move at base spy speed, regardless of disguise.
