Do Lv.3 Sentries rockets damage themselves?

AFAIK they do, but i've never seem it demonstrated good so i'm not 100% sure.

They do if they're reflected. I'm not sure that splash damage on an up-close target would do anything.

If an ubered RED heavy stands next to a lv3 BLU sentry, the sentry does not hurt itself with its own rockets.

If a RED pyro reflects the rockets of a BLU sentry back at that sentry, the sentry will be damaged (because the rockets are now on the RED team).

One good way for a pyro to kill a sg is by reflecting the rockets in this way. Move in, start flaming, reflect as the rockets are launched and you can take out a lv3 sg in quite a scary way.

sentry rockets can do half or more damage when reflected back at it. I don't know exactly how much.

I've taken an L3 down by reflecting two sets of rockets back. It might have already been damaged though, but if you wanted to be sure it should be an easy enough matter to test.

However, I could have sworn that I had a sentry take itself down once. I was a spy, and sapped the sentry to near destruction. I went for the stab at the engie as he went for the wrench on the sentry, but missed. He got the sapper off, and the sentry, which was right next to a wall fired at me up against the wall, killing the engie, me and the sentry too. I didn't see it on the scoreboard, but I'm pretty sure that's what happened. What is the splash damage like on sentry rockets? If its not much, but still enough to do a little damage, that might explain the ubered heavy.

To Cascade - Its not worth reflecting sentry gun rockets unless you're outside the sentry's range. That way you can control when the sentry fires at you, and you only get rockets and a few HP worth of lead. If you're close enough to use the flamer, you shouldn't bother reflecting the rockets, you should just circle strafe. Its safer and just as effective. If you're too far to use the flamer, but not outside sentry range, you're just going to get cut up by the sentry's bullets. Rockets don't reload fast enough to get 2+ reflects in before you die, and if an engie is turtling it you're definitely screwed.

Dont waste time reflecting sentry rockets. I love it when pyros do that
