Server Setup Help

I was going thru the logs for TF2 available online. I have observed the following lines in the game log

L 07/03/2008 - 16:48:56: "Console<0><Console><Console>" say ""cp_gravelpit config loaded""
L 07/03/2008 - 16:48:56: "Console<0><Console><Console>" say ""cp_gravelpit scoring - Both teams will attack and defend twice.  The team with the most points after 4 rounds wins.""

What config settings might be needed on the server for such matches?

Add this to your server.cfg or map config:

mp_maxrounds 4
// Max number of rounds to play before server changes maps
mp_winlimit 0
// Max number of rounds one team can win before a server changes maps

I 'll try it out! Any idea on the auto team switching... so that each team gets he chance to attack as well defend?

I have mp_switchteams "cmd" set on my server. But still didn't see the team swtiching on the server? Is there nething else that controls this?

Search around and find a pre-build server.cfg.  All these should be in there.  These cvars are pulled from mine

mp_autoteambalance 1
// 0 is off and 1 is on. if 1 then should be used in conjunction with the following 3 commands
mp_autoteambalance_delay 60
// Time (in seconds) after the teams become unbalanced to attempt to switch players
mp_autoteambalance_warning_delay 30
// Time (in seconds) after the teams become unbalanced to print a balance warning
mp_teams_unbalance_limit 1
// Teams are unbalanced when one team has this many more players than the other (0 disables)

Oh... that means that switchteams will work only if autoteambalance is on! Unfortunately I cannot have that set to true because I am using my own teambalancing logic :-(

I know that BM can do that...

I'll check that out... but is it not possible somehow to use the server CVARs directly for teamswitching if autobalance is not on?

I'm really not sure.  Thats something you would have to try out.  if the cvar is locked would would need an admin mod to let you use them.
