Shotgun or Airblast?

 I've been having trouble with soldiers lately. I find that after my initial attack I retread to med range. And there I'm stuck in a decision. Should I use my flare/shotty or airblast his rockets? Or if it depends, when should I use each.

Deflect kills are just for style ? Man you are wrong. Deflect is best thing against kritz medic+soldier combination. Once I took out whole team and got around 60 points for pyro in 1 life (That was good game).

Airblast is best thing that pyro can have. I mostly use lil fire, airblast then axtinguisher. 3 seconds kill.

Use one of his rockets for an airblast rocket jump to get closer, Mr. Pro Pyro.

Just run and pelt him with shotty, both his weapons beat yours at that distance (His Shotty wins since he has more health.) so the best thing to do is to run and shoot.
