Ok don't get me wrong I love demoman I always have but I mean come on give his primary weapon something other then a nade spamming tennis ball launcher that no one seems to care about you using.  Everyingle person that says the class is fine keeps bringing up the sticky bombs yes they are fine but once you use them your toast.  And for the people that say that they are overpower im sorry but the blast radius of them is quite small and all you have to do is shoot a rocket or another sticky bomb and blow them away and now they are almost harmless.  I mean hey I'm good at lobbing grenades but when they get in close and start strafing it gets to be stupid then your just hoping they run into one of them but a good player will not do it normaly.

So them taking out the explode on contact was just a stupid idea.  Just look at the Meet the Demoman video valve depicted exacly what the demoman is but they change the whole thing to make them practicly harmless.  Ok yes you can set traps for people but how may people will fall for that twice or actually fall for it since they know thats all demos can do to kill you.  Now I will still keep playing my Demo because I like explosives and watching them be no more... hehe.  But like I said once I set off my trap for one character I don't like being dead from the next one that was just behind him because my other gun is useless.

Ok think about it this way what is a grenade launcher and explosive round that explodes on contact well it definatly is that only if you hit a player type object I mean come on are these smart grenades or somthing it just does make sense.  I think if they blow up on contact with player objects they should stay exploding on player objects not up since I hit the environment first the grenade is completly useless now???  Now yes explode on contact might be overpowered to some but if you think about it that is exacltly what the soldier is.

So if your suppose to be a defensive class then make them defensive against more than one attacker.  Cause if they all rush in a big group then yeah you can use your stickys to tak out more than one person but how many times does that happen.  Plus for the sentry topic yeah sure we can lob them around corners woopty crap that mean nothing if all they have to do is back up and wait for them to explode then come in and just kill you.  And ho many times do you see half way decent engy's placing SG's right next to a corner I'm sorry but I almost never see that.  And the fact that you have almost no offensive capability, how are you even going to get to the dang SG in the first place.  So the amount of ammo is fine in my book.  I actually liked the TNT better in the first demo they had made for TF2.

Oh and for all the people that post there scores on the boards and what not saying I racked up 100+ points and kill with demo in a single round for one how long was the round, how stupid where the other players, and your kills don't show how you killed them all of that could have been by the sticky traps so.  But anyways I just think the demo's primary launcher should have some defensive and offensive capabilitys other than just lobbing them into hall ways and hoping for someone to run in there or hope for someone to jump infront of one of your nades which doesn't even hurt them much in the first place and typically hurting yourself in the process as well...  well just my 2cents and have fun.

BLOCK OF TEXT ATTACK!!!

EDIT : The demoman is a defensive class, mostly. The non-stickies are for out-of-sight spammery and general Choke-Point / mass of enemy pwnage. They are not meant for direct 1 on 1 attacks with other classes (that is why they were nerfed to not explode on contact after the first bounce.)

For one yes i know what paragraphs are but im not in school and getting graded so who gives a crap.  Plus I just don't get how you can be defensive without posing some sort of defensive threat to the offensive player.  From what I have seen "non-stickies are for out-of-sight spammery and general Choke-Point / mass of enemy pwnage" it just does not work that way cause all they have to do is walk right pass them. And you no longer have defended the point you were suppose to defend cause once you start worrying about that one person you probably just let in 3-5 more people so were does defence come from the demo???

There I did a paragraph you happy?  So if they are not meant for 1v1 attacks then they are not much of a defence now are they.  I'm sorry but as other people have said no one is threatened by the demo anymore due to the nerf.  So... and the heavy is a defensive class and they can actually defend people from coming through a choke point and if they have a dispenser next to them too, and they are good for 1v1 but how many times do you see heavys on offence but they are a defensive class so what does that tell you.  Heavy+Medic combo is dangerous boh in offence and defence why not the demo.
Shoot I've even rushed with a Engy and made it work so do I just stop playing the class I love because he doesn't work correctly or what?

Here is a good video of what a demo could do pre-nerf and dies just as much as anyone else and from what I was watching didn't seem overpowered to me?

Hey man, I was just being sarcastic you know.
Damn, I'm sorry, but I just can't read your sentences. They're a bit too long-winded.
Therefore, I can't give my argument. (Plus the fact I'm tired)

BTW, the point of putting paragraphs is not to score grades.
It's to allow readers to understand what you're saying.
So you can don't put paragraphs as long as  your readers clearly understand what you're saying.

Either way I posted this just to show my opinion about the demoman cause I love the class but it just won't let me do my job with it cause the only good weapon he has is the stickys but you can really only use them once in most situations.  But if you can recall the Meet the Demoman video he had explode on contact grenades and in the previous trailer he had TNT http://youtube.com/watch?v=a7ozG-YNLNg  I loved the TNT and how it actually shows DEMOLITION which is what the class is so.

I know what you mean about the paragraphs but somtimes I just don't think about it.  Also when you say stuff like that if your just messin around it would also be a good idea to put like a LOL after it or JK or somthing to not spark somthing like I just did?

I agree with what you are saying Todd.

I would like them to bring back the explode on contact, even after bounce, just becuase i started playing the beta 2 days after they took that out and i'd like to judge for myself how it affects the gameplay. even if it meant the demo could only hold 3 nades in the launcher instead of 4.

I also think the demo should get a TNT weapon of some kind. Like the detpacks in TFC. I can't think of any ideas for it right at the moment but I think it would be a nice addition.

Well, just think I know alot of people don't like people bring in real life situations but come on how does a grenade know when to explode, it can really only be one thing at a time either timed, on contact, remote detonated, or primed like mortars.  Look at mortars you put them in a tube to get primed then launches and explodes on contact.

Because if it explodes on contact with player objects it should do it all the time not only before it hits the environment that just doen't make sense.  So if they are smart grenades I guess when it comes into contact with the environment the grenade become dumb and doesn't know how to explored anymore??? Hmmm...  I mean come on people think.  Sorry I'm a big weapons buff and explosives I guess the marines will do that to yea especially if you were already a gun buff before the military heh..
